Where to begin?

Writing has never been my strong suit so I'm gonna keep this short and sweet.

I've grown annoyed at how much of the internet is controlled by corporations. The internet was originally meant to connect people and make it easier to communicate. To the extent the internet delivers on any of those promises now, it is only as a byproduct of selling your attention, and there are probably whole offices of gray faced people in gray suits with gray painted cars sporting license plates like 1LUVBMW and B0ATGUY brainstorming ideas on how they can bundle that up neatly for investors too.

But it doesn't have to be that way.

So I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I want to encourage people to learn the smellier, geekier things in life. The internet isn't going away, but if more people learn how to build on the internet instead of just consuming on it, maybe we can use it more deliberately. At the very least it'll give me something to do.

I'm not sure how often I'll have the time to write on here, or what I'll write on here, or if anyone will even care at all. But if I can show someone else how the internet works and how they can use that to give people in gray suits an all around bad Monday, that's a pretty good start.
